These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Standby software, including the local daemon, Chrome extension, and related documentation (collectively, the “Service”), provided by xGenie LLC (“we”, “us”).

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Standby, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes. You may not redistribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service.

Standby runs locally on your machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service sends page content to the model provider you configure. Your use of those providers is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that automated browser actions will produce correct or desired results. Use at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xGenie LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
